Pre-Professional Program

Berkeley City Ballet’s pre-professional ballet program is for the student who aspires towards a high level of technical and artistic proficiency. Within an academy setting, the student follows a mandatory and progressive class schedule beginning with Ballet 1 to Ballet 7. All students in the pre-professional division perform in the Nutcracker and Spring Concert.

BCB’s pre-professional program is personalized with yearly student evaluations that determine promotions and casting. Through formal study and attention to detail, BCB prepares the student for the option to enter the professional world of ballet if they desire to. Students are accepted into this program by audition only and a placement audition class is required for all levels.
