Dancing with the Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble has been a fulfilling and joyous journey that I continue to enjoy every day. Besides touring all over the United States and performing in legendary venues, I have also had the amazing experience of performing in various works ranging from George Balanchine, to Jeffrey Holder. Through this, I've been able to maintain a great family of dancers and teachers; all who dedicate their lives serving ballet as an art form. As privileged and honored as I am to dance with amazing artists, I owe a lot of my ballet foundation to my teachers and family at Berkeley City Ballet.

Berkeley City Ballet has created a world for me that not only established discipline and proper technique, but also finding joy and meaning of dancing at a personal level. Dedicated and nurturing teachers such as Elizabeth Godfrey made me realize that there can be a balance between the technicalities of steps, and the fun you can find behind just doing choreography. I learned that steps are not just steps; they are physical extensions of emotions that come in a wondrous spectrum. To this day, I think of all those feelings and great memories at BCB, which in turn, continue to help shape the artist I am today.
